Frequently Asked Questions

We, at the Beauty Treatments Ministry, want to answer any questions you might have.

What should I bring to the retreat?

Toiletries, comfortable clothing, your Bible, an open heart and mind,
checkbook or cash to purchase BTM merchandise, and an empty tote
for take-aways.

Is this retreat all about beauty products?

No, we focus on women’s inner beauty that comes from the Lord. We
help you draw closer to God. There are no beauty products for sale.

Why do I need to bring money?

We offer Jodie Dye’s book and a couple of t-shirts for sale at the
retreat. We take only cash or check.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Each retreat center is different. You will have your own bed (except in
Kentucky) and at least one roommate. We spend most of our time in a
group setting, not in bedrooms.

The retreat costs too much for me to afford.

We ask that you are honest about your financial situation. We all like
to save money. Would the expense present a true hardship? We have
a very limited amount for scholarship for the retreats. Please contact
us.

When does the retreat start and end?

We officially start at 5:00 pm on Friday, but you are encouraged to
arrive earlier (one-two hours) to get settled in for the weekend. The
retreat is usually over around 3:00 pm on Sunday.

But I won’t know anyone at the retreat.

Women of all ages attend our retreats and they feel welcomed and
loved due to the size of our group. By limiting the retreat to ten
guests, intimacy happens. You will leave knowing everyone attending
the retreat. You are special and if God calls you to attend a retreat,
you will be blessed.

Where did you get the teaching material used during the retreat?

The retreat is based on Jodie Dye’s book called Beauty Treatments –
Prepare to Meet Your King which was revealed while studying the book
of Esther. It’s non-denominational, but designed for Christian women.

Can I attend the retreat if I am not a Christian?

The retreat is designed for women who know Jesus as their Lord and
Saviour. Without being a Christian, the concepts taught would be
foreign to that woman. However, we offer an opportunity to become a
Christian at the beginning of each retreat.

Will I have any free time?

Yes, there’s free time in our Saturday schedule. You may want to bring
something to do during that time. Walking attire may be desired if you
decide to go for a walk.

Are you able to accommodate my special diet?

We can put in your request, but honestly, it may not be honored by the
facility. You are welcome to bring your own food or just flow with the
planned menu.
